This is normally the last event prior to a summer break, notwithstanding the emcamp event in July. 

Given we try and spread the events around a little, does anyone fancy hosting the event in an area we haven't already been too this year so far?

What about good old BoT? We've got a few good pubs, serving lots of good beer!! Has there been an event in Burton yet?

There has been a few in BoT, just not this year.

I've hosted at The Burton Bridge, and the Riverside at Branston.  Fab pub in the summer, as the garden looks over the river.  They also gave us a function room for free.

Organising only need be a quick call to your chosen pub or place, and say "is it allright if I bring along 30 people to buy beer and food", for them to give you allocated seating, especially if it's early in the week.

If you fancy it, then just say so here and it's yours.  Then send off your event to GC.com

What about Wednesday 22nd June? Venue to be arranged, but location will be Burton upon Trent!!

IIRC Tuesday night at the Lord Burton is steak night. I don't know if they still do the same offer but it used to be steak + pint for a fiver.

Also, worth remembering that Burton is in the West Midlands so an event entitled "emCache Invasion" could be quite fitting  ;D

We'll be in the Lakes on 22nd June so will miss this one.  I think the coffers are fairly full (Tim?...) so there's probably no need for a raffle unless someone is desparate to organise one in our absence.  We're pretty low on prizes now anyway.

And by way of self-promotion...  ;D

Don't forget to book in with us for EMcamp if you're coming, we're giving more-or-less final numbers to the campsite on Monday so please email us if you're thinking of coming so we can make sure we have enough pitches.  (Please also specify if you want electric or not as the non-elec pitches are in a different field).
