it's not so much the day as to what shift I'm on, but happy either way if I can make it.

Alan, have you been in the pub near Tesco, Mickleover (on the corner, sorry don't know its name).

Nags Head. Full of students etc. Single big room downstairs.
Most locals don't go there anymore.

We prefer the Tues nights too, as we like to spend the weekends walking/caching and even gardening, doing DIY etc if we feel particularly enthusiastic!  It's also nice to have something to do of a weeknight.

There will be lots of camping and other outdoor weekend events through the summer and these will have day visitor provision so this might be an option for folk who can't make a Tuesday night.

Tues evenings, or for that matter any other, require a babysitter for us - school night etc etc.  Also risk clashing with work commitments (meetings in random parts of the country), hence this week being our 1st ever event.  W/end afternoon (ie not clashing with football or rugby which are mornings  ::)) provided there's nothing else on the calendar.  That parental taxi service starts when they're so young these days... But the camping stuff as mentioned above may go some way to cover it??  Not forgotten the not-so-subtle hint a while back re hosting a picnic in the summer  ;)

Tuesday's best for me...but all depends where and when (various Tuesday's annoyingly all ready spoken for in March): Accepting Alan's point...the Institute of Advanced Motorists used to use The Nag's on Sunday mornings...so obviously appeals to a range to types...

I'll try and remember the raffle box, we still have some donated coins in there.

Menus are available for download from the above site, please ignore their google map (its a little off target ;D).

Didn't ask about a raffle on booking but I can't see it being a problem.

It's practically my local so I'll be there barring any problems.
