How sad. I thought someone must have made a mistake when I read it.

I met Sven twice; once while out trying for a FTF last year and then again at Jacaru's Colwick Park event last summer. He seemed a nice guy.

Ive never had chance to go and find any of his caches, but know from other cachers and some of his youtube vids how good they are. It would be nice for one or more cachers to adopt some of them maybe, as I'm sure they have inspired other cachers to think outside the box when placing their own.

His partner Cup may look after them as she is joint creater on some of them.  Also when he was out of the country his brother used to look after them.  So they may well be taken care of by them.  Perhaps in due course the forum should make an enquiry to see if they have it sorted and offer to adopt them if they dont have anyone to maintain them.

Just noticed on the facebook page that this was posted.

"Steve's funeral will be held at 11am on Feb 16th at Bramcote Crematorium. See link below. All are welcome.

We will be providing a weblink, for those who can't make it, so they can watch it live, more details here when we have them.

We're also planning to arrange somewhere for people to go afterwards to remember Steve and have some sandwiches and a drink, but we're unsure on numbers so please let me know *via a private message on FB* if you'd like to come, then we can check there is space for everyone, he was a popular guy. A private message will make it easier for me to tot up the numbers rather than looking for comments on here and elsewhere.

We'd welcome donations or flowers, we're thinking of setting up a trust fund for his children with any donations, but watch this space for details.

The dress code isn't strict, don't feel you have to wear black, we want this to be a celebration of Steve's life, so wear what you feel most comfortable in - some people will feel black is most appropriate and that's obviously fine too.

You took so many forms and everyone thought they (sort of)  knew you.

And now he puts his mark on the Pearly Gates, and the Angels vie to tell him

This is the first time I have read about the sad passing of Sven. Although I didn't always agree with his point of view I am still saddened to find out about this tragic loss. His videos have given me the inspiration to be more inventive in my future cache hides and his views certainly raised an eyebrow or two. I am sure he will be missed in the caching community and beyond. Farewell.

Just heard about his passing today. I have been a big fan of his youtube show, he was great for the sport.

Had a lot of respect for him. May he Rest In Peace.

Although I didn't know him personally He was a worthy poltical opponent and constantly keeping my on my toes over on OC UK

he will be missed
