I have never met Sven, but know that his vidos were very very good.

This is very sad news indeed.

RIP Sven.

Oh no that is awful.  Only met Steve once at the launch event of my crazy golf series.

Very sad for the kids he leaves behind.

RIP

Just seen this as well on the GS forums.  A sad day.  I never got the chance to ever meet him but he has had an impact on EM caching and far wider.

My thoughts go out ot his partner and family.

That is sad news. We had our ups and downs but he did entertain me and had some good caches. Is anyone in contact with Cup?

I am shocked and deeply moved by this news. I spoke to Sven on here, but not in r/l, but he was passionate about anything he did. My thoughts are with his family.

Not directly, but I am trying.

Edit: I have found her and sent a message.

We are stunned by the news.
We met him a couple of times out and about, and the world will be a little smaller now without this complex, forthright and entertaining man.
Our thoughts are with his family, especially his children.

I can't believe it. I've chatted to him a few times on facebook and thought he was a real character. He has helped the geocaching world greatly, encouraging people to be more creative in their hides and show cased some excellent caches. A sad day. Thoughts to his family, particularly to his children. RIP.

It seems that the details are still not completely clear but if it was suicide then it is a real shame.
It is worth saying that if anyone ever needs to talk something through then I am happy to be contacted.  I know geocaching is just a game, but there is quite a community built up around it, and if we can be of any help to anyway I am sure most of us would happily do what we can. Nobody needs to suffer in silence.

I never met him in real life, but thoroughly enjoyed his challenging caches.

A sad loss.

Such tragic news, I was just today thinking that it had been a while since the last geocache spoilers video, which were always entertaining and not to be missed.

Hope you are at peace Sven.

Jon.
