Strange happenings before the Event

Before todays event I was taking to stevo185 and saw a small piece of paper in the bottom of Wollaton Park - Ice House, whilst the rest of his caching gaggle found the cache.  The cache belongs to me, but I thought nothing of the piece of paper so ignored it.

Later somebody (the Treecrabs) found the cache and opened the piece of paper to find...

I checked the logs on the cache and nobody found it on the 14/1/2012, so this must be a muggle!

There is the standard note in the cache I think (somebody might tell me otherwise) so how nice of the finder not to trash the cache

I have contacted the number given with a short text explaining what the container is and how to find out more, I will keep you posted with any updates!

I had a similar note left in one of my caches once.
Mine was left by local children who found it when playing and drew some nice pictures and left some notes in the logbook.
Unfortunately, the cache was trashed shortly afterwards. I don't think it was by the kids who signed the logbook though. Their notes were heart warmingly nice!

Just had a phone call form our Mystery Muggle.

The story goes something like this.  She is form London and was on a trip to Wollaton Hall looking for symbology and stumbled across the lion at Ground Zero.  She originally walked straight past but something made her walk back again.  She then moved the piece of stone in the lions mouth and found the cache.  Left here initials and the date and carried on!

She saw the cache note and meant to look it up online back at home but never did.  On her return she found the cache again and left the note on the card.  Even swapped 20p in the cache for the choccy coin found by lgxkls today! All without knowledge of caching!

I have now filled her in on caching and she is on geocaching.com watching the 2min video as I type.

Saw this yesterday as well when I did the cache and was intrigued. Good to know the update.
